Welcome to Compassionate Conversations!

My name is Yoolina (Lina) Lee, and I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC (BC RCC # 24689) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #11248252).

My personal journey has motivated me to support individuals facing mood disorders, relationship challenges, chronic physical/emotional pain, anxiety, family and complex trauma, the impact of a loved one’s incarceration, and childhood sexual trauma.

I deeply value your experiences and insights as key to our counseling journey. My approach is humanistic, focusing on your strengths and aiming for harm reduction, with a strong understanding of trauma. I use techniques from Internal Family Systems, Compassion-Focused, Somatic, and Emotion-Focused therapies to guide our work together.

Today, I remain committed to individual counseling and supervision, growing alongside my clients.

As a first-generation South Korean immigrant with over two decades in Canada, I empathize with the unique challenges international students and workers encounter, such as homesickness, long-distance relationships, and anxiety/stress related to immigration processes.

With the exception of current clients, my session fee is $130 for a 50-minute individual counseling session and $150 for a 50-minute couples counseling session. Many insurance providers cover services offered by a Canadian Certified Counsellor, but it’s always a good idea to confirm with your provider. I also offer a sliding scale starting at $80 for individual counseling to make support more accessible.
